About SLC 2006

In July, 150 student leaders from prominent universities in the world convened in the Student
Leadership Conference 2006 to discuss global problems humans are facing in this fast changing
world, and to share their ideas on what leadership qualities is essential for all of us.

In this fast changing world, we are facing many global problems, like pollution, poverty gap, etc.
As a leader, what competences should be quipped to solve these problems in order to build a
steady world?

Through the Conference, participants had:
○ Learned more about global problems
○ Exchanged ideas on leadership qualities
○ Developed critical thinking and leadership skills
○ Established linkage and collaboration among university students globally

The 2006 Conference was jointly organized by City University of Hong Kong and the Shenzhen
University and held in the two campuses.
